They raised the price. It said $419 earlier. Lame.

I was so close to buying it for $419. Looks like I'll finish my AR build after all. Thanks for the posting.

For the money it's hard to beat what you get. They are a nice featureless ak type rifle that can be converted if you want.

I got one converted few years ago, it takes cheap tapco galil mags with bullet guide. So far 100% reliable with brass or steel cased!

$549 is steep. I see them every 2-3 months for around $430.

FWIW I paid around $400 for one at Turners on sale a couple -three years ago. I used a die grinder on the front trunion and installed a renegade buck magwell conversion for $100 or so for ar15 mags.

I think there are better conversions available now. The finish is cruddy, but everybody knows that. The gun just runs great.

Hey guys!

Being completely honest, our cost is actually higher than $419 on them now. We accidentally released a few at the old price because we hadn't received them in almost two years. That was definitely our mistake and we did honor those orders even though we lost money on each one of them (not just lost profit margin, actually lost money).

Since this happened, the price has steadily risen: http://www.ammoland.com/2012/07/rwc-...#axzz35tbQeFQk. There is only one source for U.S. Saigas now...there were several importers competing just a couple years ago. This market condition is bound to directly impact retail pricing.

Thank you all for your continued support and we do truly apologize for any inconvenience this discrepancy has caused.

Rifle Gear has consistently shown itself to be a stand up establishment. I only wish I lived closer to them to save on transfer fees, but one day ill buy a rifle from them.

Stand up Company right their. If you can make another mistake for the 5.45x39 that'd make my day.
