wonder how much business they lost with their insane shipping and order costs? That's the way Cheaper than dirt lost a huge amount of business that will probably never come back...I like Midway and have bought from them in the past but feel a little "burned" with what they did and now are trying to "make up"...we'll see.

Ol' Larry is such an ego maniac; gets two pictures and a bio into the announcement.

Shipping as a profit center; lots of vendors make maybe half the gross profit off shipping and handling charges. I ordered two motorcycle tires from Colorado. They sent the wrong ones and sent me a DHL voucher to send them back. I axed the DHL rep how much to send them back; $8.05. I paid $20 to get them to me....

Larry used to have FREE shipping; back in the '90s. Then he realized "I'm leaving millions on the table"!!! So it's been 15 years since he started gouging on shipping and handling.

I was finally willing to order a couple of the Pro Shooting Mats for $30 each today, since the shipping for two dropped from over $40 to just $8.

I'd been looking at them for a year, but just could bring myself to pay that much for shipping. Looks like they will be getting more of my business in the future.

Their shipping rates have been the main reason that I done buy ammo or any large items from them. Good to hear that they are making this change.

$12 bucks to ship 2 small items that fit in your hand is ridiculous. No thanks i'll shop else where.

?? I've never felt their shipping unreasonable. I go cheap ground, no muss no fuss. Just had an order delivered yesterday, $197.00 with $1.33 roundup. I ordered enough to get free shipping, as I had a cart with stuff I wanted and when the Hornady XTP 90 gr .309's came in, I bought it all. No shipping as I bought enough to get the "special" they were running.

Out of one side of your mouths you say "they suck but have stuff I can't buy elsewhere" and then say Cabela's and Brownell's don't gouge on shipping? REALLY? They sure as heck gouge on prices!

No one is forcing you to buy all their weird useful stuff, same as PSA isn't forcing you to buy good stuff at great prices but wait the PROMINENTLY displayed 15 days for shipping. Waaahhh! I got a great deal on an upper but i have to wait for it to ship!! Waaaaah, I want it Fedex overnight, I got an achievement award in grammar school that says I am special!

I'm happy to do business with Midway and for that matter Numrich, who may charge for shipping otherwise unavailable gun parts BECAUSE THEY ARE IN BUSINESS. A $1.54 part doesn't have $3 of labor costs built in, that comes in SHIPPING AND HANDLING.

Unbelievable.

If you cant tell by the picture, hes a rich man, we made him a rich man. Look at that facility and all those commercials with him in it, THICK catalogs.

I bought some reloading stuff here and there from midway, but better prices and better shipping can be had elsewhere. The benefit of midway is that they do carry a LOT of products.

Good to hear. I will add them back to my list of retailers when shopping for best deals. Had stopped using them due to the high shipping charges.

That's really good of them. Wish I waited a few days before I placed my order. In the end, I'm satisfied that I at least got the part I needed. I would be kicking myself if they sold out and the build wouldn't be complete until they have it in stock again

Perfect timing for me, as I just got an email about lower prices for my birthday!

Lower prices, plus cheaper shipping=score.

I buy a lot from Track of the Wolf.
Shipping is high.
At least Midway has lots of coupons.
As for Cabelas: Xmas time means huge bargains!

For groceries and household stuff (like baby stuff, diapers) try Soap.com...
Red salmon is $8 and can instead of $10 (safeway).
Shipping is free over $49 (always).
Most items guaranteed to come in 2 days (often 1 day), nationwide!
I think they are the new Amazon, their stock is going to soar !

Cool, with my dealer discount that would make it .....oh yeah, Larry cancelled my dealer pricing in order to improve my shopping experience or some such nonsense.

Exactly. Brownells still does dealer pricing and lately have been offering free or .75 cent shipping, no matter what the weight.

Hmm, I added some stuff (3 boxes of 50rd 9mm, a box of 22, some targets) and shipping was just 6 bucks earlier. I come back about an hour later and it's now 15.

Nope its 100% bull.

I just looked at their federal match 323 box of 22.. $16 per box. AWESOME!!

Go to check out. $11 for shipping. Sales gimmick. They aren't saving you anything.
