Talking Wife is officially retired now.

As many of you know I retired at the end of 2012. At the time is seemed like a lifetime until the wife would retire. Well, today we went to our range and she turned in all of her issued equipment. Then, off to HQ to turn in the rest of her things, sign the seperation papers and to get her retired ID.

Life is great and now we get to begin working on that bucket list we have assembled over the years!!

Enjoy your vacation and hope you guys stay busy (fun busy, not work busy).
Remember, try to stay active, too many of us get sick right after we retire.

Lucky guy.

My wife unofficially "retired" to play tennis ten years ago in her 40's a trophy wife wanna be

So after 45 years I get to work another 5 years to play for her "tennis".

Thanks for the note. It's good to know it works for some people.

Congratulations to the wife Ernie!

So when is the move out of state. IIRC, you referenced that back in 2012. How long are you going to hang around this place. Whenever, I'd like to finally meet you since you never did have that retirement party back then as originally planned.

Retired (Bill),

Arizona is in our future!! The wife is working on the retirement house floor plans as we speak. She designed the house we are in now and she, is quite simply, a genius when it comes to designing. We'll be getting the electricity to the property soon, getting the well dug, etc. Hoping to be outta here no later than the end of 2015.

Yeah, I kinda stealthed out into retirement. I'm not real enthusiastic on having the big wigs from HQ coming out to tell me what a great guy I am when they don't even know who the hell I am or what I am about. Haz knows first hand I'm about taking care of business and not a punch and cake guy!! The kids at the station were sad to see me go and threw me a surprise shin-dig at a local dive I like to visit!! That meant more to me than anything downtown could have done.

We will have to meet up for a beverage and steak sammich at Texas Lil's or any other local place you like. The weather has been perfect and I have been logging some miles on the Harley. A ride down your way will be in the near future!!
