Consider the 1919's cycling rate and it will give us about a minute and a half (give or take a few seconds of course), now substract the semiA factor, divided by the 10 link rule, multiplied by the amount of fun and last but not least, add whatever is not listed here.

Pant, pant, pant.

Yup, we are going to be busy up there.

thanks for the info. I ended up finding some scrap metal at work. I'm going to use a modified scrap rotor for long range and the thinner stuff for .22's I will keep the marketplace in mind for when I have some extra cash.

I'll be taking my trusty clay clean-up tarp to lay on the ground. Then have some fun with two boxes of clays over the weekend.

Clean-up is a breeze this way - It was a Ranger who suggested doing that last year when I asked about shooting clays on BLM land

I have the clay hangers and boards like this:

I still am willing to contribute to bring a couple of "prepped" vehicles out and back to be targets.

That sure sounds fun and all, and I'd really love it, but bringing vehicles out ("prepped" or not), may draw a bit of scrutiny from the rangers. IDK, just my 2 cents, no refunds.

Preservation of our land is a must.

I have feedback from a fellow member who went there a couple of weeks ago, he spend a few hours cleaning the place and loaded his truck to the max.

Even when the idea of having cars to be used as targets may sound great, the potential pollution to the land makes it a No Go.

I just found this event... dang! My friends and I were planning to head up to that location from Saturday-Sunday. We were hoping for a little more private shooting but this looks nuts. Would it be okay if we setup camp about half a mile longer down the dirt road and shoot away from you guys? I don't know how crowded it gets, we just don't want to be in the way too much. We'll probably find our way over to this gathering at some point during Saturday, but really are looking for a separate experience.

We're not anti-social, we've been trying to plan this guys trip for awhile and now that the dates were nailed down, I find this awesome crazy family gathering.

This is part of the fun, anticipation and concept of our annual event.

Think about Barstow, CA as a target and add another 15 mins of traveling time."

Hey Wolf,

Maybe we can get a few or a dozen 55 gallon plastic water drums (IIRC Ism45 had them in the CL???) and cut the tops off and set them out as trash bins.
I’ve still got a ton of Hefty Black trashbags from last time.

Of course we’d have to haul them out (in a truck or trailer...) but since were getting the port-0-poties it might be worth it.

Picked up a real target stand finally, can't wait to try it out. Also hoping to have my MP5K in time for the shoot.

I've been in a state of denial for a while on this, but it's not looking like I am going to be able to make it this time. I've got a lot of factors working against me, first and foremost being that I am scheduled to start a nasty civil trial on the following Monday. If that case doesn't settle ahead of time, there is no way I can be out playing in the desert. Just too much of a time commitment when I need to be preparing.

Notwithstanding my trial, I have actually lost a good deal of my eyesight since mid-November. I haven't even shot a gun since November 9. In fact, I first started to notice that there was an issue at the last Zombie shoot when I couldn't focus on the front bead sight on my 10/22. A week and a half later, my eyes were totally out of alignment and out of focus.

After a couple months of diagnostics, the doctors finally diagnosed my eyes as having deteriorated muscles. I'm having surgery on Tuesday that will hopefully correct the problem. However, I may have to get surgery again if they miss the mark, and even still, I may have to get new corrective lenses to work with my fixed eyes. All of that takes time, and I'm not sure I will be ready by that weekend.

This is really killing me....I had so much fun at the last one and I'm even restocked on ammo.

We have less than one month to go.

It's time to get details set and GTG.

I will be generating a few posts with the necessary items needed to have another great annual event.

If you would like to contribute/help please:

Copy, update and paste as needed.

Thank you.

I hope to be leaving Palmdale as early Thursday as possible. My GF+2 will come on Friday. She actually liked the idea, something about me setting the travel trailer up by myself and her showing up Friday and getting straight to trigger time lol.

I have a few collapsible trash cans I will bring along with contractor grade trash bags

One more little heads up to those who wish to partake, My GF's daughter will have girl scout cookies to sell. If anyone wishes to PM me with request for cookies, we will do our best to satisfy

Members bringing Military vehicles please PM me ASAP.

The line is going to be extremely dense and I need to know your space requirements.

The clock is ticking.....

T-minus three weeks this weekend

For those procrastinators in the group (myself included...)

If you are ordering ammo/targets/camping gear/etc that you plan to take to the Zombie Shoot please ensure you factor in the delivery window.

Don't be like me last time......

My ar500 target arrived just as we were pulling out of the driveway in the RV..... Doh!
