Lightbulb Howard Leight electronic earmuff owners question

So Santa was good to me. Brought me a Howard Leight R-01526 Impact Sport Electronic Earmuff for Christmas this year. I love everything about them...but have a question to those who own them. I notice when I first turn the muffs on there is a clicking noise inside the muffs (not the on/off lever) until I reach nearly the loudest setting and clicking stops... are all of the muffs designed lime this, or are mine defective? I have yet to use them on the range, but I see the reviews are stellar, and I am familiar with the brand. Its not really a problem, but more an annoyance; because I like to not have to put the volume all the way up in order to stop the clicking sound. Thanks in advance...

Mine don't do that either, they do work great though. I can use them with my S&W 500 outdoors with no problems.

they should be "silent", probably not the cause, but try a different pair of batteries and see if that changes anything.

Called company...said driver was defective. Even though purchased through Amazon took serial info and transaction info and sent me a new pair... get to keep the old ones too. Great company.

Had these for one range event, returned. They amplified the sound when firing and I could not believe it.

I use MSA Sordin headsets which work awesome but I have an older pair that aren't low pro which is why I tried the HL. MSA all the way, you get what you pay for.
