Came back from my local Turners today and they said they have them on order both in 22lr and magnum in both configurations. Earliest ETA they gave me was with some luck maybe a week but they couldn't verify which ones they will be getting and they didn't want to take a deposit on one.

Don't know how many are left but here's a heads up on the 22" model for $250 shipped. The 18" model is sold out.

Well don't tell Ruger that!
This gun's older brother, the Ruger American Rifle, is $449.
http://ruger.com/products/americanRifle/models.html

And they do already have a 22 bolt north of $500.
http://ruger.com/products/rotaryMaga...22/models.html

This is a competitive price point. I bet it will get a decent following from Ruger or 10/22 loyalists and people who previously considered CZ, Savage, etc.

Freaking Ruger just keeps on coming out with great products! And it uses 10/22 magazines of which I have a ton!

Dang. No left hand model. After releasing the Gunsite Scout in LH, I thought for sure they would cater to left handers with a common gun like a .22. But no.
Oh well, CZ it is for me.

Congrats. I handled that one yesterday with cash in my pocket. Nice, light gun. Liked the fiber optic front sight. I'm going to wait for the 18" barrel.

Looked at a few at a local shop in Wisconsin. They had both the 18" and 22" in 22LR and the 22" for 22 mag. All were $279+tax.

I really like the 18", it feels really natural to hold/point with iron sights. It's hard to justify getting one for me because I already have a 10/22 and Savage Mk2.

Fine firearms had 2 of these both in the 22" barrel 1 in 22lr and the other 22mag. I bought the one in 22lr. I'm stoked! I was In The market for a savage but once I saw this thread I had to have it. Pickup date is the 17!

Went to Turner's in Corona this past week inquiring about this rifle. I've made many purchases here, but a salesman I've never seen before that pulled my # had no idea what I was talking about...

Pretty interesting, and for the price what would it hurt to have one?

I just wonder if they will be significantly more accurate than a stock 10/22

Called turners at Reseda and guns direct at burbank. There not even taking pre orders. They said their dealers have no commitment if they will be receiving any.

Funny how all the different Turners give us all different info, when they pretty much all pull from the same warehouse. Went yesterday and was told it was not in yet, but if I was in hurry to get one they could go through a 3rd party supplier but I would have to pay more than the suggested $279 msrp.

Story of my life - no left hand model. Lame. I'd buy one of each.

An update, I was able to pick up one at Field Times over the weekend. I actually went with the standard as the balance was better to me.
