Default Peep / aperture sights for LEFT-HANDED savage mark II?

Does anyone know if the Williams aperture sights can be mounted on the savage mark II in such a way that the bolt can be manipulated if its a left handed bolt? Can the sight be mounted in reverse and the peep screwed in from the rear? Or are the tech sights our only option?

Looking at my setup, no it wouldn't work. The sight would end up between the rear-scope mount and front of the bolt travel. You might be able to bring back a bit farther, but then it will interfere with your ability to run the bolt (might clear, but certainly no room for fingers)

My suggestion would be to get one of the Anschutz style top rail mounted rear sights, and figure out a way to get the appropriate rail mounted or perhaps mount something like a Tech Sights Marlin rear on a piece of rimfire dovetail.
