Hello fellow calgunners,
I wanted to share my recent experience with gunvault.com. My NV200 gunvault, which I had recieved as a gift, recently went into total lockdown mode, wouldn't open at all. This model is the one that can only be opened with a key, and try as I might, I could not open it with the key. Lucky for me, I didn't have a firearm stored in it at the time. I decided to call the company directly and see if I could get a replacement. The first rep I talked to wasn't very receptive, so I requested to talk to a manager and was placed on hold (BAD), and my call was dropped at the 22 minute mark! I call again, get the same rep, who did not apologize, was placed on hold, and was dropped at the 6 minute mark! (UGLY) So I figure on giving them 3 strikes, and call again. After a longish wait of 6 minutes, I get a rep, Jerry, who also happens to be a manager I tell him about my previous 2 calls and my predicament with their product. He gets my phone number in case we get cut off, informs me that they were having phone problems, and after hearing me out, tells me that he will ship a new one free of charge (GOOD) Spent around 45 minutes on this, which at my houry wage was time well spent, since my hourly is less than the cost do their product. My experience was mixed, but the end result was great. Lesson learned: ask to talk to a manager when calling customer service, they seem to be the ones that can actually get something done. sltgunner

You should replace the lock with a better one. Tubular locks are very easy to defeat.
