Default Finally Got Some Safe Lighting

Ordered some Sylvania Golden Dragon motion detection puck lights for the safe and they finally got here. I can see in my safe. Now I just need to get another 3 pack and it'll be fully lit.

Is the thin mints to improve the smell of the safe, or are you hiding them?

I seriously need to consider that next time I get some edible goodies I don't want to share!

it looks good. the lighting is foreign to me, and i could use some inside the safe. i use an old 1930s gooseneck lamp that sits on top of the safe, and pull it down for lighting. your lighting is better than mine.

I started off with a puck that had build in motion detection, but wasn't happy with the result.

Since I was adding a powerstrip to the safe, I decided to go with a LED strip and use a sensor plug to turn it on when the door opens.

Went with this LED strip package and sensor plug.

I'll try to remember to get pics and post them.

I love having lighting in my safe, the LED strips work great. I also came across a motion activated light that is magnet mounted above the dial but haven't purchased that yet.

When I was at the last show I ran into the vendor that sold this kit:

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=456064

Bought it for $45 at the show cause I wanted the AC Adapter and it looks great. Very easy to install and the door switch is awesome. It really lights up the whole safe evenly.

That's the same kit we installed in our safes, and include them with every safe purchased from us. They work really well. I've always liked the lighting of LED lights. Even installed them under our kitchen cabinets, lights up the counter nicely!
