Kudos on Falcon for providing ammo to students at a very reasonable price morning of the class...

Exclamation Training Coures & Ammo Acquistion

Fellow Calguners,

Falcon will continue to have a steady supply of ammo for ALL of our students. We have been providing this services to our students since 2006 to make things easy for all who would like to attend.

Times are tough, and they are only going to become tougher! The good news is this, no matter what the situation is (all things being equal) Falcon is preplanning to provide quality training, services and products to our student base. That being said, if you would like to attend a course we welcome you anytime and know that ammo will be there for you the morning of class.

As things unfold here in CA and abroad, we will continue to make preparations for our students. Just this past weekend, we trained over 45 students in 2 days! Most students who attended were supplied ammo be it pistol or rifle with come 11,000 rds of each caliber in total.

We look forward to meeting more of you in future training sessions being offered by FOG.

Stay safe all.

Regards,

Falcon

Went to FaconOps on Sunday. The majority of students said that they would not have been able to or would have been less willing to train with Falcon this weekend if they weren't able to get ammo the day of class.

Also, many LEOs shot at both classes and most of them also said their departments are having a hard time getting ammo for training. That's how bad it is. Glad to see these guys out training.

The ammo itself was great quality, brand new, not reloaded. I didnt notice any FTF on the pistol ammo, and I personally saw 2 FTF on the carbine. I estimate about 7000-8000 rounds of each caliber were shot over the weekend. I personally had ZERO ammo malfunctions both days while using this ammo.

Best part, I got to take the extra ammo home and add it to my home defense "stash" which was getting depleted with all the training I do.

Here's what I found:

http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/...oducts_id=4665

It's gas blowback, so with every shot fired, the slide comes back and then forward to load another round. The chamber/lock indicator also works and the slide locks when you're out of rounds. The gas and BBs go into the magazine, so I could potentially buy a bunch of magazines, load them up with 10 rounds each and practice trigger control, aiming, and reloads all at home. It has the feel of real steel, just like my real XDs, will fit into my holster and will fit into my mag pouches. The only thing it doesn't have? The recoil. It has *some* recoil with the gas blowback, but it's nowhere even near the amount of recoil my 9mm has, let alone my 45.

So eventually, I gotta get out there with at least a few rounds of practice. And that means .. going to the gun show to get rounds.

Cool Gotta Get more Ammo!

Quote:
Bobby, you forgot the first rule of competitive shooting! Keep at least 2 years of components on hand. For you that should be about 60,000 rounds.........
Hi Everyone! My first post!! Yay!! Not sure why I had not joined tiill now, but some Great reading!! So, is that 60K mixed calibers or just for 1? Had always done a buy a box here and there, and just in the last few weeks, prices have doubled from the doubling the month before. $120.00 for 100 rnds 44Mag SJSP.

Didn't even realize what was gonig on till just after the first of the year. The boob tube news and the papers were driving me Nuts! I actually prefer to surf for my info anyway. Eye's and Ear's are open now!

The 30 Day waiting periods are a real pain. I would say I have 6K mixed which is 10 times less. I was only kidding the wife when I said I wouldn't fill the garage, but I am rethinking that statement now.

I noted if you like to shop around and know a few folks, you can still get some quality platforms, noted the AK's and the AR's are around just 1500-2500. Yikes!!

Picked up a couple lowers to build my own, and managed to get my hands on a Henry H010 always wanted a 45-70, and being a lever action was something I couldn't pass up!! currently you can find stuff ranging from 1.50 to 4.00 a round if you go for Garret. Yikes! No wonder the rifle wasn't sold. No matter. Everything goes down wtih a 45-70.

While we have the ability to ship into CA there are some competative pricing still available online, as the local shops have jacked the prices pretty high, wit ha 2-3 box limit.

That's 60,000 rounds of pistol, 60,000 rounds of .223Rem and 60,000 rounds of mixed bird, buck and slugs.... If you shoot 3 gun, if you don't, well you don't need rifle or shotgun ammo.

And by the way, don't expect any primers to be available from Winchester or Federal for retail sale for the remainder of this year.

You guys got fooled once in 2008, but fooled twice???

What's the advantage of having a bunch of .22's? I'm a gunbot slave and can get my .40 and .45 a heck of a lot easier than .22. Everytime a <$.10/round price comes up for .22, the vendor's website crashes within 20 seconds.

At the Fresno Gun show, Milwall was selling 100 rnds of CCI 22 cal for $10, with a limit of 200 rnds. The only other option was a 500 rnd brick for $68. Eventual other vendors were sell bricks for $100, or 100 rnds for $20.

Madness I tell you.

I wished that we had more shotgun classes at this time since it's the only ammo without shortage... (IMO, there are always too few shotgun courses)

I already signed up the second one(TTA), but can't attend those weekday ones as being a college senior student.

Yeah, hopefully there will be more shotgun training during the summer, or the ammo shortage got resolved.
