Default Hungarian AK63D AMMS at Apex

For all you collectors out there. This is one you don't see regularly and I'm guessing they will sell out quickly.

LOL, welcome to 2013. I paid $400 for my SA85 kit a couple years ago, who knows what it's worth now.

Kit arrived today and the wood and metal is rust free. Its a shame the barrel was torched cut. The kit is absolutely dry with no cosmoline. Looks as if it was sitting in a warehouse for a long period of time. My kit has a Z etched on the top of the upperhand guard. All the torch cuts are away from demilled parts and everything should be usable. My kit was fortunately enough to be 90% matching. All parts match except for the trunnion which is not too bad considering it was advertised as non-matching kits. Due to the rarity of these kits and price paid I would rate them 4.5 out of 5 stars. Awesome find APEXGUNPARTS!!

So if anyone out there has A 177018 front trunnion let me know. My mis-matched trunnion is A 178397

If anyone knows a place that can force match the front trunnion to the rest of my parts let me know. I only really need to match the last 4 numbers.

Pictures to come later.

My kit is in the same condition with everything matching except the trunnion. I am overall very happy. Mine came with sand on the gas tube even lol. The torch cut next to the trunnion was aweful close but I don't see any damage thankfully.

Looking for trunnion: xx1890
Have trunnion: xx6996

I to am very happy with my kit and glad I pulled the trigger

Yes it was. They posted it over on AK files that they had a match to mine with a pic. I would put your numbers up there if you have an account or at least monitor the thread. There seems to be the most contributors to try and get matching kits together. Good luck! It would be great if more can find their originals

why didn't anybody call me??? lol

Thanks for the heads up on the vz58, what is missing from the kits that you'd have to get separately?

I probably should know but I got into firearms 5 months ago, and it has been a busy year.

BTW, RRC is out of CA compliant vz58's. I got the last one.

Thanks for the tip on the vz58. Just got the last one from RRC Firearms, and looking for a few more. If you hear of anyone getting rid of theirs and don't want it yourself, I would LOVE a note.

BTW, I know nothing about anything, just got my first firearm in Jan. Fortunately I had purchased it Dec. 6th. Good timing for that one, horrible timing to start into firearms. Unbelievable! I had a vz58 from an AZ guy, who was willing to take all the features and stock off, I ordered a mag lock, and the plan was for me to let him know when I put it on and he'd send the stock. My FFL crapped out. All of a sudden, they don't do transfers on any incomplete guns! "Store policy" yeah right, since about 15 minutes ago! WTF? I was really disappointed.

What is missing from these kits that you'd have to get separately, the finished lower?

Thanks for the tip.

Brian

You need a VZ58 receiver, which isn't going to be cheap. Also maybe 922r parts?
