I got the same brown spot in the lamination's. I sanded mine out and where it as too deep I used some grey paint and a black felt tip pen to draw in the grain. Even my wife and picky daughter inlaw cant find them. They are at my sons up north or Id take a quick pic. DR

Like I said, mine wasn't just blemished, there was a chunk missing. But when I pillar bed the rifle, it won't matter.

BTW, the way I got over this sort of stuff emotionally was I accidentally "idiot marked" my 1911. After 10 minutes of gnashing my teeth and hitting my self in the forehead saying "Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" I got over it. Now blemished guns make me shrug because it can't be worse than me scratching my own 1911.

But everyone has their own tolerance level.
