I hit up Poway at 4:45 today and just missed out. Truck was early and I was told 16 boxes of 223 100rd value packs came and went. Oh we'll- at least it's still coming in. They still had a good amount of 12 ga value packs

Wow, looks like I need to start checking out Poway, although I never make it up that far north...

Yep same exact thing happened to me. I actually drove by right when the truck came in early but decided to come back later because I did not want to wait.

Overheard a conversation at the San Marcos Wally. They said they will get 4 boxes of 223 value packs (50 pks I think) to put out Sat am according to their shipping/stocking report.

I guess not everyone in Sporting Goods knows how to run t hat report because the guy was asking how the other person knew that.

National city manager told me they got a shipment of ammo but didn't know what was in the box. Will have to check in the AM.

Nah, you guys are wasting time hawking out Walmart for ammo..I go to the ones in Chula all the time and there is never any ammo coming in except 9mm and 22. Go to Big 5 instead. They are running specials all the time on ammo. Im not sure what 223 is looking like tho since I have plenty already due to me not shooting in a while. I also heard that Walmart is slowly phasing rifle ammo out so its anyones guess

Most of us have had varied success with Wal*Mart so I'm not going to write them off just yet; I will agree that the Wal*Marts that are further south are always a waste of time trying to find 'ammo-I have never seen anything down there. In my own personal experience Big 5 has never had what I needed, even before the panic, but maybe I will start spreading my search patterns to include them also...

Negative for me at Big 5 - What this poster in another thread listed has been my experience at my local (Rancho Bernardo) Big 5. Last time I was there I lined up at 9:45 behind about 10 other people and managed to pick up my limit of 5 20rd boxes of Winchester .233 and it wasn't that great deal at $12.99/box

You guys ever heard of Gunbot?

Did i get bad info? If so what and how much did they have? No go for you and your friend or no go for you?

BTW - Big 5? What a joke. That's a better option? Don't be surprised if you see atlanta drive past you in line at Big 5 with his ration of ammo from wally.

N. Broadway (National City) has:

Winchester 12 gauge 00 buck and rifled slugs.

PPU .380

45acp jhp

1 box of WWB .25 auto

Along with the usual suspects (.410, 20 gauge, .270...)

Just got back from 'Aero, nothing in the case. There were a lot of palettes being broken down but I didn't see any 'ammo. What does a case of 'ammo for individual, retail sale look like?

I didn't think they sold ammo at that one. Guess I'll have to look again.

I checked once and didn't see any and just assumed it was because of some of the clientele.

After seeing how bad ammo was in San Diego (I live in Chula Vista), I decided to check out a larger sporting goods store while I'm visiting family in Wisconsin...

Plenty of everything except .22, .223, and .380. I'm not sure why there isn't .380 as it seemed like the only caliber in San Diego I could find reliably.

Ohh, and magazines for just about everything. Had hundreds of 30rnd AR mags, plenty of Glock/SW/Sig/Ruger mags in "hi-cap." Even found a few brands of 10/22 mags.

I'm not looking forward to being back in SD (although the weather sure is nice).

That's why I had the quote's around "hi-cap"

While I would certainly like to help people out, it's not within my means right now. I'm not able to bring back any for myself right now either. I would love to bring back my 10/22, but will have to make do without for a few more months

Just returned from Arizona where I was able to get some 12ga federal bulk packs.

But as far as the rest, AZ is in the same boat as we are.

I'm in Rexburg, ID this week and they are in the same boat. No .223 anywhere and this morning I was picking some other stuff at wal-mart and they had three boxes of 9mm and here you can only buy one box. It totally blows.

Went to Aero Sunday and Shawline today... Nothing on the shelves.

All I need is to restock my 12ga target load for trap. Guess there's no clays for me for the foreseeable future.

I'll check the parkway walmart when they usually restock tonight and report back.

just got back from aero walmart, I heard the same story from two different employees. aero is getting ammo, they put it out now at random times of the day due to someone they say is on calguns, they will even tell you their screen name if you ask them there, at least the young lady there told me. What he was doing is yes, hoarding and going in everyday, buying everything he could, will even take friends, then go and sell the ammo in the parking lot. Thats not what made aero change but that he supposedly trying to sell the ammo in the store. So a BIG THANK YOU to the person on this post, you know who you are for adding to this ammo issue.

I know I have not been a member here long but I do appreciate the post, its sad that people take advantage of what we have and ruin it for many.
