Default COAL of various factory .308/7.62 ammo?

i'm looking to build a database of factory ammos and their COAL's

My LMTMWS seems to hate ammo with COAL on the longer end of things. For instance i have issues with CBC/Magtech 7.62 not feeding correctly, and with some batches, they even dont fit in a PMAG.

What are some of the shortest factory rounds in this caliber? Anybody have a FGMM they can measure with a 168 SMK? All of my current rounds with SMK's are reloads.

Most ammo loaded with 168 or 175gr bullets is loaded to 2.800. I load 150 and 155gr match bullets to the same OAL but it leaves less in the neck. Fmjbt bullets like LC and Hornady load to 2.775

If they don't fit in a pmag, then I would wonder if you got a bad batch.
That might give you a reason to buy a .223 bolt gun...

I agree with your numbers from what I've measured using a small sample size of FGMM 168 and some MilSurp 762x51 150gr ammo.

For my Savage 10FP LE2b, I can cheat the 155s out to 2.840"ish and still have a firm bullet seat.

For gas guns and such, like you say, probalby closer to 2.810" would be prudent.
