The Town just released their report - looks like they are going for a moratorium. Please be sure to attend the meeting.

Looks like they are trying to prevent more stores from popping up. I think Templar is safe from what I can see here. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Interesting packet. I note that the CGF letter isn't there. I'll make sure it's sent again.

Folks, if you haven't had the opportunity to send a letter or an email to Los Gatos, please take 5 minutes out of your busy weekend and do so.

Is this for future shops? Maybe the media is wrong (as normal) as NBC11 just said it would be held retroactive... dunno .. we should show up! I'll be there but may be late...

If this isn't the 'main' thread I'll look out for the main one tomorrow night.

My gf works in Los Gatos and tells me all kinds of horror stories of how corrupt and "good ol' boy network" Los Gatos & it's government seem to be. I'm stunned. For "open minded" people, LG is clearly about as closed minded as you get.

Let the store stay open and succeed or fail based on its customer service and pricing (like their $400 AR-15 lowers).

In order to pass a moratorium, "Council must make a finding that there is a current and immediate threat to public health, safety or welfare, or that the approval of additional development applications would result in such a threat."

They will try and say that the "health, safety or welfare" is because of the actions of the protesters!

Please come to this meeting and help prevent the town council from this ridiculous action. Demand they they don't use this as as an excuse to placate the vocal few. Demand that they show evidence that ANY "health, safety or welfare" issues have EVER been connected to a firearms retailer ANYWHERE in the U.S.

Do not let them press ahead. This fight can be won!

I will be there tonight. Their reasoning reminds me of the racists in the South who would deny parade permits to African-Americans on the grounds they might incite violence -- only problem was that any violence they would incite would be caused by the racists themselves.

I put yellow...then looked again...and they looked green...LOL. I figured that was probably what they were for. They always say "Imitation is the best form of flattery." I am sick that I forgot about this tonight. It is the first night off I have had in a longggg time and I had planned on being there.

I spoke. 2 minutes go by fast. At one point I drew a blank and skipped a point, and ran out of time before my last point, which upon reflection should have been my main, maybe only point. But the guys sitting next toe said I did ok.

We just finished the public input section, now councilmember Maria Jensen is calling it a land use issue, and calling for some sort of moratorium. She did reiterate that nothing can affect Templar now.
