8.6 mph is how fast the average target runs holding a weapon. Snipers use it for a firing solution to lead targets. In Iraq it was used extensively to stop insurgents from crossing streets trying to resupply or better position them selves. The lead dots on ACSS are set from 50-300 yards. Its set for 90 degree angle but you can use your judgment on angle,half speed and so on. Its a point of reference. Same with the wind if its a 10 mph wind double the hold and so on.
