Most of us stopped using real log books after about a year of shooting.
All you really need to be logging is your round count, hard dope, weather conditions, velocities and anything that pops up as interesting during your shooting session.
I just use a 3x5 write-in-the-rain book.
Writing on paper is faster than typing.

Here is an example:

Foreign Semi Autos:
Glock, XD and M&P pistols, Benelli and Remington shotguns: barrel, sight, trigger and receiver work.
Most work performed while-you-wait, evening and weekend appointments available.
