Take a look at the prices at FreedomMunitions.com. I bought 1,000 rounds of new brass FMJ 9mm ammo for about $200 even. You can order ammo over the Internet and they'll deliver it straight to your door. They'll sell it remanufactured or new. I've used both. You may occasionally get a jam using remanufactured ammo. It's fine for range use but you shouldn't rely on it for home defense.
