You think that was cheap....my model 49 was $150.

Things have changed a lot since I first started. We did not have any ballistic protection, for instance. No pepper spray. (we did have CN "mace" but it took about 15 or 20 seconds to have any effect, and the effect wasn't much). ASP batons had not yet been invented, so we used a "sap" or "slapper". Check your uniform pants...bet it has a small pocket on the leg, about thigh high on the side seam...for a sap.
