Good luck, that's not an easy school. I averaged a little over 25 hours/week of extra study over the 6 months. I went when the school was in Orlando Fl and prototype training was in NY, CT and ID. IIRC it's all in King's Bay now. The Math, Chemistry and Physics wasn't too bad but "Reactor Principles" and "Property of Materials" will keep you up at night.
I was an instructor up at A1W in Idaho in the mid 80s and had a lot of O-1s and the occasional O-6 (Prospective XOs for carriers) as students.
