Pound of feathers or a pound of gold? Answer: feathers

A Troy ounce weighs more than an Avoirdupois ounce but a Troy pound is 12 ounces and an Avoirdupois pound has 16 ounces

The three most valuable things are weighed in the Troy ounce.... Gun Powder, Drugs & Gold
That would work except a Troy pound would be 5760gr to the Avoirdupois pound's 7000gr. Which would still mean the container is 1000 grains short at 4735gr.

Sounds like the can was pinched
