Default A serious question and not intended to make things worse than they already are.

The way Senator Steinberg's law is written makes me wonder if at some time it might be used to also ban certain brands of semi-auto handgun.

Glock's and 1911's can be turned into a semi-auto rifle with a conversion kit. Yes these are illegal in CA, at least I think they are, so.........would a Glock or a 1911, and possibly other brand handguns now be considered as the basic component of an assault weapon...the lower?

Not trying to stir the pot up, it is already very bad and needs no further action to make a foul soup. This struck me today and wonder if any "legal eagles" have insight on this aspect of the semi-auto rifle ban?
