My measurement is 9" according to this scale, and I love the grip of the 97B. I did replace the factory checkered grips with the factory rubber grips, though, which I would *highly* recommend (only 20 bucks). Or get some sweet custom grips, if you feel like spending a little more.
My hands are too small according to the guidelines. That's I problem I have in general with CZ's firing double action. That's one of the reasons I really like my 1911's. Try one out and you might get hooked!
