Not a cop, but I would have let him fall. That officer deserves a great amount of respect and honor, along with the off-duty officer and the civilians that stopped to help. He made a great sacrifice in trying to help someone that could have cared less about either of their lives. I hope the bad guy comes to terms with what he caused and is grateful for the sacrifice that was made to save his life. Will have to look up the backstory on this...
