I rescued a LRB from Calif. when I moved out. The dummies thought it was better to have a muzzle brake on it rather than the flash suppressor. What they don't understand is that the brake helps you recover from recoil faster so you reacquire the target faster. And it does help to a degree to disperse the flash, not a lot but better than nothing. I have the tools to replace the brake should I ever want to, not likely though. Buy a M1A they are fun to shoot.
