Go watch Paul Harrell shoot a Marlin 1894 in .44, he shoots about a 4" group at 50 yards. Not many people shoot better than Paul... and the winds weren't really favorable but I think it's pretty well understood that a pistol caliber lever action rifle isn't your first choice for bullseye shooting right?

And yeah, I can shoot the nuts off of a gnat with my Golden Boy... but .22 rifles are almost always dead nuts accurate at 50 yards in my experience.

I've just always viewed centerfire lever guns as 100-150 off-hand deer guns and you can easily shoot them that accurate and I've never seen much difference between brands in that regard. I've got a Win model 94 in .30-30 and a Win 92 in .44-40 and I find both of them to be adequate more so than accurate really.

Buy made in USA whenever possible.
