I have an older Rossi .45 and a newer one in .44 with the safety. Neither has been a problem. The .45 is fun and shoots wells. The .44 does jump a bit with full magnum loads, but also functions fine with .44 SPL rounds. I handload so it is not an issue. I generally stick to RNFP, SP or HP jacketed. I also usually shoot the powder coated bullets in the rifles when shooting cast.
