I may be able to work on rehabbing sufficiently to get down on one knee and back up, at least with something to support on, but I'm not sure.

Per the Sac Sheriff's AB2103 letter for the course of fire: "As permitted, ADA accommodations can still be made at the discretion of the Instructor." In the course I just did, accommodations were offered if necessary for anyone doing the quals. No documentation was required. I would ask the instructor you are using for qualification to make sure accommodations can be made.
