Standard and High velocity is fine. (Most rounds you come across will be high velocity)
No list of ammo to stay away from other than Hyper.
But people generally say that Remington Golden Bullets and the like are unreliable and poorly made. And that Winchester ammo is very dirty...
Heres one the factory suggests to use in the manual:
Commonly suggested ammo are:
CCI Mini Mags
CCI Blazer Bulk
Federal Bulk
It seems that 795 function fine with either plated or wax coated bullets.
I prefer wax coated myself and use CCI 525 Value Paks exclusively thru my rifle as they group great (at what used to be a great price) and I have never had a failure to fire or feed in my 795. |
subsonic ammo wont cycle in a 795 but to be fair they dont cycle in most autoloading 22lrs
