I went down this road 9 years ago and turned my nose at a nib 6" .22 DB for $800. Since then every year I keep watching them go up and up. I think a good second choice to the DB is the Dan Wesson .22 revolver.
I actually ended up falling in love with a 1934 Harrington & Richardson 9 shot Sportsman and my wife fell for a 1981 7.5" 9 shot H&R 976. Both are true .222 and both are double action/single action. VERY Very accurate, the 1934 was made by the same men and machines that made the U.S.R.A. single shot still deemed by some to be the most accurate handgun ever made and still used in competition today.
