I have no idea if Turners is being ridiculous or not. I just keep thinking I wish so badly I could do what they did to some of my regular complaining customers. With my company, they know if they complain, they will get something free. I also tend to think many of the most ridiculous of them think they are being completely reasonable.
Once again no disrespect to the OP, I have never been to a Turners either so it is very possible he was in the right and they are in the wrong.
