New Frontier Armory LW-15 Polymer AR-15 Lower -- $99!

New Frontier Armory LW-15 Polymer AR-15 Lower -- $99!

Keep your eyes out for these in late January!!

New Frontier Armory LW-15 Light Weight Polymer AR-15 Lowers and complete rifles!

Lowers (complete with buttstock, pistol grip and all lower parts) will be $99

Complete rifles with match bbl and Magpul gear, mag, and hard case will be $599

In the meantime, go "Like" the LW-15 Facebook page so you will receive updates as we post them.

www.facebook.com/NFALW15

The LW-15 website will be up with tons of pics, video's, and info in early Jan.

www.LW15.com

Go checkout our facebook page or youtube channel (newfrontierarmory) for the first in a series of torture tests where you can see 75K cycles on our polymer fire control group!

NewFrontierArmory 12-29-2011 9:42 AM

Okay, the second test of the series is up. We crush the magwell with a ram 20 thousandths more than an aluminum receiver and the alum receiver barely takes a mag, bust a pivot pin, and won't drop the mag.

The LW-15 polymer lower bounces back to shape, no cracking, easily accepts a mag, then drops free.

Here are the first two tests if you guys would like to watch them:

WWW.LW15.COM IS LIVE!!

The website is up for our new polymer lower! Our designer did an awesome job to get everything together. Please spend a few minutes and check it out. Any dealers that are intrested in carrying the products, fill out the dealer app on the website and we'll get you out a dealer packet via e-mail.

We're shooting for a release date of 25 January, with a possible pre-sell date one week out.

hefedehefe 01-12-2012 1:20 AM

When will there be pistol lowers in stock?

NewFrontierArmory 01-12-2012 3:11 PM

End of Jan, early Feb

comblock 01-12-2012 3:14 PM

Any of these fine folks carrying it?
Oc armory
Riflegear
Turners

NewFrontierArmory 01-12-2012 9:56 PM

The top two can definitely get in. I know at least one of them wrote in for a dealer packet.

Spread the word to your dealers that you want to see them in their store and have them visit www.LW15.com and have a dealer pack sent to them.

11011500a 01-12-2012 10:03 PM

SF Bay Area dealers?

NewFrontierArmory 01-12-2012 10:16 PM

I'll be honest with you, I already deal with a lot of Cali dealers, and a lot have already e-mailed in for their dealer packet, but I don't know exactly where in the state each one is located.

If you have a particular dealer you'd like to see carry it, please ask them to visit www.LW15.com or send me their e-mail address and I'll get a dealer packet out to them ASAP!

We just sent them a dealer info packet via e-mail!

gsrious 01-12-2012 10:56 PM

can you sell just the trigger group? or put together a lower parts kit?

NewFrontierArmory 01-12-2012 10:57 PM

At the moment we need all the parts we can make to meet demand, but eventually in a few months when we're caught up I'll have no problem selling just a FCG.

BlackLoTuS 01-22-2012 11:25 PM

so i wonder if OC Armory is getting any of these LW-15's in. if so i'll take one for sure! was looking for an inexpensive lower (complete) and the snug fit has me intrigued as well.

ceasefire15 01-28-2012 11:02 PM

Just check the website. When will you restock on the AR pistol? Any problems shipping this to California?

Tripper 01-28-2012 11:45 PM

Being so close to feb 1, is there a new status on pistol

NewFrontierArmory 01-29-2012 7:19 PM

Parallax Tactical has there's, Sacramento Black Rifle will ship out in the AM and Rifle Gear should have theirs by Wed for you local Cali guys that want to check them out in person.

If you don't have a dealer in your area, you can order online or send them to www.LW15.com and have them check into our dealer options.

Fill 02-03-2012 9:34 PM

Just picked up my $99 complete lower from Parallax today. At that price I might pick up a few more for stocking stuffers next Christmas.

Any additional info on the trigger group torture test? Maybe one that counts full-range motion hammer strikes on firing pin with a carrier resetting the hammer. The video looks like the jig is only resetting the hammer from half travel.

gsrious 02-04-2012 1:47 AM

i was just wondering if these are coming with the commercial receiver extension tubes like the plumcrazy?

or are you equipping these units with the mil receiver extension?

NewFrontierArmory 02-05-2012 6:24 PM

We use commercial tubes. The mil spec tubes are much more costly, and are actually thinner than commercial tubes, so it only made sense to stick with commercial tubes on ours.

dedub 02-07-2012 7:12 AM

PS - Riflegear has them in stock in their store. Not sure if they're on their website yet, though.

WraithAR 02-09-2012 4:12 PM

Any release date on various colored lowers?

Ricky-Ray 02-13-2012 10:57 PM

With the Plum Crazy Lower's if you use a dedicated 22 upper like the one from CMMG you need to get a narrow hammer from them.

Is this the case also with the LW-15 lower's or is this not a problem?

New Frontier Lowers use the same FCG as the Plum Crazy lowers so the same issue can arise. You can shave them down yourself with a dremel (What I did on my personal lower for a dedicated 22LR upper) or get a narrower hammer.

These should be available from New Frontier soon from what I hear

dunwitjayz 02-22-2012 9:42 PM

can you please let me know as soon as the complete pistol lowers are availible ? ill take two !!! thanks new frontier

How much did you have to shave the hammer down? Got any pics for reference? I'm ready to buy the complete lower and it's going to be paired with my .22lr upper from CMMG. Thanks!

It's not much. I remember reading on a different board when I was searching for this several months back and it was something like the original hammer is .39 and just needs to be shaved to .34

I tried looking for the site but I can't seem to find it anymore.

BlackLoTuS 03-06-2012 3:19 PM

i picked up my lower from Riflegear and i have a couple observations/issues that i think you guys need to know about.

First off i think it's plenty sturdy enough to function fine as a lower for any type of build, it does weigh a little less, but not by much since you are only replacing a relatively small piece of aluminum with a plastic one. you still have the other standard components on the lower. the fit with an upper is nice and TIGHT, no need for an accu wedge with this lower! The trigger is a bit stiffer than i would prefer but surprisingly crisp. i can't believe its all plastic. If i want better i have no problems replacing it. I wish i had a chance to try it out, but haven't yet due to a couple problems.

I'll start in order with the most glaring issues and these should be VERY easy to fix and most don't really have anything to do with the actual lower.
1. ALL the PINS/PARTS are PLASTIC! The biggest issue i have is with the PLASTIC takedown pins and PLASTIC detent pins! once again i have no complaint about the trigger/hammer group but the first time i tried to pop out the pins they were tight (detent was holding it tight) then sloppy. the rear pin popped out completely on my first attempt and it was a pain to put back in! the plastic detent pin was flexing so it wouldn't hold straight in the channel. once i finally got it in and made sure that the groove was lining up with the detent pin, i put the upper on it seemed to hold ok. then when i went to take the upper off the rear pin popped out again! and this time the pin + spring shot out never to be recovered. You guys need to at least put metal takedown pins + detent pins.

2. commercial tube? all the other lowers i have are using milspec, as i suspect most new builds out there. i would not mind paying a little more cash to get a milspec buffer tube + stock as part of the deal rather than having to buy a $40 new one. Also this should lower the weight of the lower.

3. not the Biggest complaint but since there is no provision to change out the trigger guard, why not have an oversize one molded in? is this because you bought the molds from someone else? they seem to look identical to the plum crazy lower's which i hear are using the same molds from the old carbon 15's. if that's why then i can understand it, otherwise there seems to be little excuse for having an oversize trigger guard if you started from scratch.

i think you have a pretty decent product that unfortunately seems to be held back by a couple of issues. i hope you guys do something about them and i wish you the best.

Budlite74 03-21-2012 8:40 PM

Do you have any dealers in norcal selling the lowers? Preferably in the SF Bay area?

outkastjoey 03-22-2012 8:02 PM

@budlite74 - check out Metal Dog Tactical in San Jose. i got mine from them about a month ago. they usually have a good amount in stock. talk to Tunis he's the owner, great staff there!

NewFrontierArmory 04-01-2012 2:13 PM

Metal Dog, Sacramento Black Rifle, Rifle Gear, and Parallax Tactical are the Cali dealers doing the largest volumes at the moment, so those are the ones that stand out off the top of my head.

ThePerfectExposure 04-02-2012 11:26 AM

When are these going to restock at Riflegear
