Foreign MREs

Any idea where we can purchase these MREs from foreign countries? I'm interested in my own test taste.

I doubt you can buy them. But I've tasted Australian, UK, Canadian, and of course US MREs. And i would say the best one would be Australian.

The Italian's had cognac and the French had wine in theirs. Though it might have been the other way round.

Had these in Somalia.

My wife picked up some MREs from the U.A.E. forces at her work that sound interesting but we haven't tasted them yet.

Cognac was in little bottles but the wine was in a juice box type container.

Yeah but we weren't allowed any when we ate with one of their units. I did score a couple bottles of beer from the Kiwis though. Stuck them in the Doc's med fridge to cool down before giving to my Marines and CommO.

The Kiwis get bottled beer in their MREs? Sounds like a full bar if you get enough allied solders together... LOL!

That is awful courteous of you to not only give your Marines some beer but to cool them down too. Way to keep the morale up! :D

Thanks for sharing and thanks for your service sir!

The beer wasn't in their MREs, they had a beer garden set up.

The Australian Navy is wet (alcohol on ship) and on one of my floats we did an exercise with some of their ships. We had to stop training and help look for one of their sailors that got drunk and managed to fall off the ship.

I had the occasional Canadian rations while in Kandahar in 2009.
They were a good break from the US stuff.
