Question about folding stocks

does adding a folding stock mechanism add to the guns OAL when folded? im thinking of getting an ace folding stock mechanism but if it doesnt add about 1 1/2" - 2" i might be under legal OAL.

if anyone knows the dimentions of folding stock mechanisms please help

AK, specifically a saiga .223

they sell an ace folding stock for it which is a fixed wire stock, but if you purchase a folding mechanism separately and install it it will fold, but im not sure if that mechanism adds length to the gun or not, and if so how many inches/cm

Check with the CA DOJ first ( http://www.ag.ca.gov/firearms/ ) They do have laws about folding stocks now. The DOJ is very helpful in items like this.
