AR-15 bolt cleaner

*****Carrier Cleaner now available!!! *****

Check out these great tools to clean the carbon off of the AR-15/M-16 bolt tail. The cleaner/polisher takes every bit of carbon off the bolt tail in just a few seconds, and if you don't want it that clean, the cleaner only model takes off the majority of the carbon in less than five seconds. Check out our website, www.gngtools.com, or pm.

UPDATE: Here is a review from the Chief of Police in Hooper Bay, Alaska who recently received his G&G bolt cleaning tool: http://www.ar15armory.com/forums/Gan...an-t66278.html

.308 tool now available!!!!

Here's what Doug A. said after using the tool he just got (09/2012), " This product should be standard issue to every GI. Anyone who owns an AR and does not own this product either hasn't heard about it or is a complete moron. After using it I would gladly pay double or triple to have one. It's that F ing good! I am posting photos and my thoughts on Facebook and will post the same on Calguns. Great job!"

dalokster 08-31-2009 8:57 PM

I'm definitely interested, but how about a video on your website to demonstrate in real-time action how well it cleans in a few seconds?

If you can show us with video and the product works, I'll bet many folks would be much more willing to buy into it.

BTW welcome to calguns!

damilfman 08-31-2009 9:10 PM

does this clean the carrier as well???

gngtools 08-31-2009 9:15 PM

Thanks for your interest. I am hoping to have a video up this week. I will post it on the website and put up a notification here. It does not clean the carrier, just the bolt tail.

I am expecting the production release for the tools to be on September 15th, so take advantage of our pre-production release sale going on now and save 10% on your order. It looks like the tool has a scraper in the notch in the center of the block. You simply press the tail of the bolt against the scraper and twist the bolt back & forth to remove carbon buildup.

To polish, you place a cleaning pad inside the polisher door-thingy, insert the bolt, and twist b & f. The instructions for use are on the website. Reading those, looking at the pics, and using your imagination should get you pretty far here.

BUT, a video would be helpful. For the children:p

Yes for the children like me :D, who want to see it in action--if it can clean a bolt as it claims in a few seconds and become all shiny and purty, then I'm down to get one. Lots of things are claimed in text and pics, but the true test and demonstration is with a video these days. Sorry sometimes I'm a skeptic, but I've been burned a few times.

Darklyte27 09-01-2009 12:56 PM

Ya ill wait for the videos, right now all i see is some black blocks of metal
Also what will the shipping costs be like? carriers? UPS? Fedex? USPS mail?

Yes, the internet and technology can be a double-edged sword:

Pro - You CAN advertise your product to anybody with internet access (lots of people), and you CAN show them how well it works with online videos.

Con - You HAVE to show them how well it works with online videos, or else nobody will buy it, and it will get added to a mall ninja picture on a web forum somewhere. [hint, hint]

No worries Dalokster, I am the same way. The video is on the way...

gngtools 09-01-2009 5:36 PM

Please be patient for the video. I'm going step by step and will have the video up tomorrow or no later than Thursday. Shipping is listed on my website, and I am using the USPS so it is the least expensive. For most single orders, it is $6.95 anywhere in the US. Thanks again for your interest, and please dont put me on a mall ninja picture yet.

Does this tool work for an AR10 bolt as well? If it does not are there any plans to make one?

bombadillo 09-01-2009 11:58 PM

Tagged for the wait till vid.

gngtools 09-02-2009 7:39 AM

Unfortunately, no, it does not work on the AR-10. We are planning on coming out with a tool for the AR-10 in .308 and the 6.8 as well.

gngtools 09-02-2009 4:59 PM

Here is the link to the video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2M16c2EKFXs If that link fails, you can search gngtools on youtube to reach the video. I am still working on putting a link on my website, but I wanted to get this up right away.

gngtools 09-03-2009 7:41 AM

Sorry, no other discounts. I gotta start somewhere, and I think the price is very reasonable.

Darklyte27 09-03-2009 9:04 AM

no prob, Ill still get one, does it come with the cleaning pad too? Are the blades replaceable, is it spring loaded?

Order # 16

gngtools 09-03-2009 9:29 AM

Each tool will come with 10 cleaning pads. They are good for 5 or 6 cleanings each. The blade is replaceable, and is not spring loaded. There probably wont be a need to replace the blade. Each blade is laser cut and the corners are all cut to match the bolt so there are eight scraping surfaces. If one wears out, you can take the blade out and rotate it to a new surface.

I clean my ARs religiously! I can't sleep sometimes knowing my babies are going to bed not cleaned. Keeping everything clean in AR is important, but I think the bolt being well maintained--cleaned and lubed is the most important, but that just my opinion.

foxtrotuniformlima 09-03-2009 10:44 AM

Seems like a nice product.

No, the sale is still on until 9/18. The bolt cleaner/polisher (the one in the video) is 29.99 minus the 10% its on sale for 26.99 and the cleaner is 19.99 minus the 10% its on sale for 17.99. I checked the site and it processed correctly. Did you have a problem with the site?
