Raahauges! May 31st, June 1st and 2nd! Volunteers needed!

Calguns Shooting Sports Association and Calguns.net will be at the Turners Outdoorsman Shooting Sports Fair at Raahauges on May 31st, June 1st and 2nd.

And we need your help!

This event is a great way to reach many new shooters and families and is a very enjoyable time. We will need help running the youth shooting line and manning the information booth. You can even do both if you want!

Youth shooting line:
  • Children firing a 22lr rifle, 90% will be for the first time.
  • A parent can pay for a 10 round magazine and the child steps up and with care and instruction fire the rifle.
  • Last year we had 1000 shooters come through our booth in 3 days.
Instructors and mag loaders are needed!

Booth:

This is your chance to help grow and unify the California shooting community. This is a nice relaxing and fun way to help volunteer for Calguns. No prior experience is required, just a good attitude and friendly smile!

Location:
Raahauge's Shooting Enterprises
14995 River Rd, Corona, CA 92880

When:
Friday, May 31st - From 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Saturday, June 1st - From 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Sunday, June 2nd - From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Sign up roster in 2nd post.

I can do Friday as a mag loader

BlueDog333 04-30-2013 2:44 AM

I'm in for booth volunteer Saturday 10-2

Will the volunteers be dressed in the nice green Polos for this event? My size is Large. Will the shirts be provided like last year?

I'm also an Appleseed Rifleman, so I might also be able to help Pennysdad when needed during slow booth periods. I don't have any instructor experience though.

Would any equipment be needed? I could bring an easy up and a shooting mat so the kids could shoot in prone comfortably in the shade. I could also bring my Liberty Training Rifle.:37:

More details will be posted regarding the volunteer polo's and other questions in the next week. I am expecting to get more details over the weekend as far as how we are going to have things setup.

Sean i sent you a pm

SeanCasey 05-21-2013 9:15 PM

Got the PM, more details will be coming in the next week before the show.

SeanCasey 05-21-2013 9:17 PM

For everyone else who is reading but hasn't signed up, we have plenty of room for volunteers. We have some great opportunities available to us this year and the more volunteers we have the better!

BlueDog333 05-24-2013 4:56 PM

Is the reason we don't have a completely full roster because of the Costa Mesa show we have a booth at the same weekend?

We are having a very good response and will be updating the roster soon. For this event we have a total of three booths that we are manning and we are not turning away any volunteers for being full.

We are looking to impress and really get the message out there and introduce some kids to shooting while we are at it!

What do the T-Shirst look like? Do you have a pic?

Syntax Error 05-28-2013 5:51 PM

Sent an email to Penny's Dad about volunteering for this event on Saturday or Sunday. Seems like an interesting one, I can also bring along a 10/22 in an Appleseed LTR configuration if you guys need an extra rifle, along with other things to help attract people to the Calguns booth.

skuehl 05-29-2013 8:25 PM

I am willing to do 22 instructor or booth on firday.

baptizer71 05-29-2013 9:32 PM

Sean,

Are you going to send us PM of phone # to call just in case we will have problems at the gate. I was there last year and waited 30 mins at the gate coz they won't allow me to go inside until "somebody" will give me a badge to get in and out, w/c I got it eventually from you. BTW do you want me to bring my PLR 16 for the "show-off" table at the booth? Let me know.

Looking forward to c u all guuys this friday.
