HAHAHA no problems at all sir, i've been in the same boat.

But on the upside I get to get one!!

DREADNOUGHT78 12-07-2011 4:35 PM

So we don't need to get on any list just call A.F. and mention the CG G.B. and they will take it from there?

Big-Kr3w 12-07-2011 4:43 PM

Looking for a FFL in the IE that will handle this for a decent price? Is it true FFLs are charging tax now?

Yes sir, just wait until they give me the go ahead .... we're waiting on the shipment to come in from overseas.

I've been quoted 7-10 days. i'll give a new update to start ordering at will.

There is no official list or anything like that

Yup , it was a shock to me too. I forget where the tax law is , but out of state gun purchases are subject to tax, unlike other products.

stevie 12-07-2011 5:20 PM

This sounds dangerous for the wallet.

dwmmatt23 12-07-2011 5:36 PM

cant wait for the go ahead to call in my order

Big-Kr3w 12-07-2011 8:03 PM

So this is what im looking at right now. Saiga $509, shipping $20, Tax $50, Dros $30 & FFL $70, $680.....

Eddy's Shooting Sports 12-07-2011 10:30 PM

If you are buying a Saiga in this group buy, I will do a special transfer fee of $50, a $15 discount from my usual $65 for this buy only. Just tell Atlantic that you want it shipped to me. $25 DROS and 8.25% Sales tax on the entire invoice will apply.

Please let me know or stop by so I know what to expect.

they are out there (not just that dealer)... but when you mention it, the tax police on this forum get their panties in a bundle... there was a thread last week about it (without FFL names mentioned)...

I'm purposely not quoting the post you quoted so the forum tax nazis dont create drama... and I hope no one else quotes that particular post - even though it's a non issue, there are people that will try to make it one.

djslik 12-08-2011 8:49 PM

So this is for a Saiga 12 without the side rail that allows you to attach a scope mount?

Caveat Emptor!

When they get audited and stuck with your sales tax bill, they will likely blow up your phone to come pay it.

Sales tax is almost as inevitable as income tax. Pay your $40 and save the headache later.

Just sayin'

Atlantic Firearms 12-09-2011 2:55 AM

dj , the new Saiga 12 will not have a provision for mounting a scope

Invictus , we do expect the Vepr 762 x 54R rifles early Jan 2012 do not know prices at this time but they will be lower than in the past due to a better contract with the Russians.

Ryan in SD 12-09-2011 3:08 AM

Meh scope mount rails are easy to install anyway. 3 whopping rivets and holes. Much easier than a conversion.

tvfreakarms 12-09-2011 5:30 PM

How much extra will they charge for the scope mount?

The Gleam 12-09-2011 5:49 PM

Thanks for doing the leg-work, this is great; I'll be watching for the "starting gun" on ordering. :hide:

FullAuto 12-09-2011 8:23 PM

just found this and am interested. How do I get involved

AngryPossum 12-09-2011 9:03 PM

Anyone know the deal on Atlantics layaway plan?

dwmmatt23 12-12-2011 10:46 AM

Any word on a receiving date?

protoolsnerd 12-12-2011 12:31 PM

Not yet, i have a call in to them. I'm hoping any day now

Atlantic Firearms 12-12-2011 5:04 PM

Curious how big of a shipment you are receiving? Or is it a race for a few?

cyrus 12-12-2011 9:46 PM

We will have to buy a different BB when converting?

santamonica9 12-14-2011 7:51 PM
