7.62x39

Anywhere local to get these rounds? Don't exactly have the funds to bulk buy online, and with shipping it just seems like a lot. Turner's only had steel cases; I wanted something with a brass case (which from what I'm told is either Federal or Fiocchi?). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Riflegear had some in stock the other day when I was in there. It was some off brand i didn't recognize but it was brass casings. I didn't ask the price. You could probably check their website though.

Riflegear has Arsenal brass-cased nonmagnetic rounds for $14 for 20.

Walmart had (has) Winchester white box. $18 box.

Gavelek 06-02-2014 4:05 PM

Try sgammo, they have Ukrainian red army, 180 rounds for 55.95. I paid shipping 14 bucks for 3 boxes. great ammo and by buying it you support free Ukraine :)

Interesting. Which Walmart? The one in Brea (Placentia? It's right at the border, Kraemer and Imperial) said they hadn't stocked them in over 6 years.

Good lord. I think I'm better off saving up and just paying shipping at that price. Stupid California =/

Make sure that you get the "Elite" variety when buying Red Army Standard. This is their only offering in brass, the rest are all steel.

hellayella 06-06-2014 8:52 PM

Gunrunner's Duarte still has M76 CASES!

Ak714 06-06-2014 9:06 PM

Miwall had yellow box wolf for $249 a case.

Chameleon Loco 06-11-2014 10:40 PM

Big 5 sometimes has non magnetic 7.62x39 ammo but it is expensive unless you use a coupon.

sean714 06-14-2014 7:42 AM

walmart in fullerton gets them sometimes. Tula $5.47 for 20 rounds. Its the one on lemon and orangethorpe.

sean714 06-14-2014 7:42 AM

Its best to check on sat or sun, mornings are the best.

bigchinner 07-25-2014 10:29 PM

most of the brass cased non-magnetic stuff is 10.99 +/-. Unless someone bought a ton of Yugo stuff cheap; like 260.00/1020rds. Otherwise, the Yugo stuff is about .50 a pop or .60 a pop if someone wants to sell it. I know I wouldn't let it go for less than that. I'd try gunrunners like Hellayella said.

Red army standard has copper jacketed, steel case ammo for about 6 bucks a box online. Not the elite, not the standard bimetal they sell.

Good Lord that's a mega ripoff! Do some searching online or get fleeced buying a small amount locally. Any reason you need brass case? Running it through a mini 30?

hermosabeach 07-26-2014 10:15 AM

You don't need to buy in Bulk on line...

Bulk = Cheaper

Most places will sell by the box so you can get a few of the calibers you need....

The shipping is still reasonable when you factor in Gas, time and or the $14 to go to a gun show
