Volq sear/hammer/extractor with a cheapie truglo red dot. By far the best newbie training pistol I own. Accurate enough if I do my part.

Bad cell pic but this is a stock 22/45 with Volquartsen mount and MatchDot red dot. In addition, i sanded down the existing panels and added slim aluma grips.

1992 22/45 Mk II. Clarke trigger, Volq. sear/spring, lightened hammer, titanium FP and muzzle brake (adds weight up front; longer sight plane). Screw in trigger adjusted so it "breaks plus a little more". Skateboard tape added to grip makes it "stick" to the hand, sweat or no sweat! Doesn't recoil up much in the hand. Just kinda' "pops" with a little push straight back/vibration on firing. Way, way better than I am at this point in time.

Just had to bump this thread up. I'm waiting for mine to get out of jail in 10 days and wanted to see what other have done to theirs. I plan on putting a red dot sight on it later on down the line and that's about it....for now.

Nothing wrong with bringing back old threads especially when we are posting pix!!

I took the red dot off when the battery died... Haven't put it back yet...

Got it last month from Faith. My first Ruger handgun in a long time. No mods planned except maybe removing the mag safety.

Bought it in 1999/2000 and directly sent the lower to Chief AJ's White Barn Workshop(*) and had them install their 1911 style slide release and hammer safety, and their custom 1911 grip panel inserts.
Yeah, the new 22/45's come with grip panels, but this was big time 10~12yrs ago. :p

The upper has a Millet no-snag front sight, Volquartsen trigger and Power Custom titanium firing pin and extractor.

(*) Chief AJ still has a website but there doesn't seem to be much about firearms. I don't know if they still do gunsmithing or if the workshop even still exists.
