WTB: CZ 75 SP01

Must be in excellent condition. I'm willing to pay over the $600 MSRP since I have been unable to find one thus far, but I'm not interested in being gouged-- I'll just get a 1911 if the right deal isn't there. There are plenty of those.

EDIT: FOUND ONE. Thanks anyway.

No location provided, we presume you're okay with shipping.

I'm in Visalia, CA. Yes, absolutely I'm fine with shipping-- sorry about that.

ngiotta 03-29-2013 8:36 PM

Still no one willing to part with one?

0351USMC 03-29-2013 9:53 PM

MSRP is $660 not $600

ngiotta 03-29-2013 10:01 PM

Then I guess everyone was selling them below MSRP... Almost every store I've seen shows them at ~$600. Bud's was selling them for $605. Of course, everyone is sold out of them and all of the auctions I've found, people are either asking over $850 or they won't ship to California.

I'm willing to pay up to $750 if it's NIB or nearly new.

Good luck ! Someone offered me 900 face to face my sp 01 and I don't even wanna sell it..

Found one on GunBroker. It was more than I wanted to pay and doesn't come with mags (it was the high-cap model), but at least I was able to get one-- and for under $900.

Dan Wang 04-04-2013 5:59 AM

But the high cap mag model is not on the CA gun list. Therefore you have to SSE.

ngiotta 04-04-2013 6:45 AM

The only difference between the high-cap model and the reduced capacity model are the mags that come with it. No mags = California legal. I've been assured by both FFL's (his side and my side).

xjdesertfox 04-04-2013 6:52 AM

Lets us know how that goes, because that shouldnt be correct. Removing mags does not change the model number of the gun, and the standard cap has a different model number than the CA compliant version.

ngiotta 04-04-2013 6:59 AM

Is the model number on the gun itself or only on the case that it comes in?

You are partially correct. The high cap model and the 10 round model are exactly the same gun/frame/slide. However when you bring it into CA the model will be 91152. The only approved SP-01 is 01152. Don't quote me on this, but I believe the guns serial number coincides with the model #.

So when you DROS it at the FFL, a red flag might be raised.

I'm not an FFL, so you can take your chances, but be forewarned there may be an issue.

ngiotta 04-04-2013 8:43 AM

Yep-- fingers are crossed. It's not like I'm breaking any laws as the only outlawed part of the approved gun is staying on the other side of the country. If DROS flags this on a technicality, I'm going to be bummed. I did just double-check with my FFL and he said we're fine, so I guess we'll see. I'll update on whether or not it works out, since most Calgunners are going to be out of luck trying to find the 01152 model.

I used this thread http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=602821 before I considered purchasing.

Order one from the cz custom shop. They put the right mags in the box. Had no issue with DROS.

ngiotta 04-04-2013 8:54 AM

Yeah, that's what I heard as well. I actually tried them first. The problem with CZ custom shop is that they (and everyone else) are sold out of SP-01's-- and pretty much every other CZ model.

I won't get any mags with this one since the seller only had the 18rd mags. I'll just have to order some while it's in jail. I'm so stoked to shoot this thing. I just hope it lives up to the hype.

Gun came in today and it looks fabulous! Paid my $144 in paperwork, fees and taxes and in 10 days I'll be a lot happier.
