Coffee can heater question

Hi, I've been putting together a few heaters using TP and new 1 quart paint cans. What's the cleanest burning fuel to use? I've read conflicting info online. Some say it's okay to burn %90 rubbing alcohol inside the car with a window cracked open an inch, while others mentioned denatured alcohol is safe as well. I've also read it isn't safe to run the denatured alcohol (mine is from Klean Strip) because of the 50/50 ethanol and methanol.

I figure when I decide on what fuel to use, I'll give it a test run in my trailer since there is a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm in it. Thanks for any info.

It's OK to run with 90%, and that is what we use. 70% will work but won't give off as much heat (BTU's) and I wouldn't consider using the 50% unless that was all I had. These are all for the Isopropal Alcohol (ISP). I wouldn't use either the ethanol denatured but that's me. You would be OK not using a smoke and/or a CO detector in a car with ISP. The only time I recommend using a CO detector is in these type situations other wise they are just a ruse to make the detector companies money. Be sure to kn ow the difference between a bad battery and an actual alarm
