Looks like a Lube-a-matic. But I've never seen one quite like that. It should have another tube in the back to hold the lube. Interesting though...

Maybe it's only a sizer and not a lube/sizer like most...

Maybe a single stage shot shell loader?

That was my guess.

Does a shotshell rim fit that recess in the base?

Hello
Single stage shotshell was what the gun shop thought also but we somewhat ruled it out as there is no place for a shell holder that we can see.

Single stage shotshell reloader , I am in posession of 2 of those , and use them.
On the bottom of the press you will notice a small set screw , yours may be missing , it takes the shell holder. You can still find them ( Herters type works) if you search.

They also have shell holders for many other rounds , they have an extrem amount of leverage ( have used one to full length resize a 50 BMG).

Can also be used for lube , swaging with the proper adapters. They are/were one tool does it all type.

Thanks for the lead on the shell holder.
I would be very happy to use this as a sssr. It is a prety nice pc. of equipment.
Also thanks to the rest of you folks for you insight. This is what makes this forum a nice place.
