Amazon now good to go: BB and pellet guns.

Even if "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com".

There have been many complaints here in forum that Amazon won't ship those to California (if Amazon itself is the seller). I have found this to be true myself in the past when trying.

I just now tried just for fun, and they will now ship BB, pellet, rifles and pistols to California addresses. Same as any other item they sell.

Due to Amazon's fluid pricing (as documented on Camelcamelcamel), bargains pop up from time to time on a continual basis.

I wonder what changed? Will they now sell pellets and bbs?

Sure Amazon sells pellets and BBs.
one example:
https://www.amazon.com/Crosman-Hunti...dp/B000BTNLVK/
And pellet guns:

A couple weeks ago they sold them, just not to California.
Now they ship to California no problem.

Vendors added the Prop 65 warning to make it CA legal to import into CA.

Has no Prop 65 warning = no-go on importation to CA.
Has Prop 65 warning = go on importation to CA.

Seems to not be true for airsoft... Clicked on a related product, an airsoft version, and it was not available for CA.

Bought an adult size Red Ryder and BBs with no problem, arriving tomorrow.

But I sill can’t buy a particular small plastic garbage can - this Prop 65 stuff is a joke!

If the entire surface of the airsoft is not brightly colored or transparent [PC 16700(b)(4)&(5)], then it is not legal to import to CA. [PC 20165(a)]

(B) If the airsoft gun is configured as a rifle or long gun, in addition to the blaze orange ring on the barrel required by federal law, the airsoft gun has a trigger guard that has fluorescent coloration over the entire guard, and there is a two centimeter wide adhesive band with fluorescent coloring around the circumference of any two of the following:
