Gun show
I went to the McMann Roadrunner gun show at the Fairgrounds today. Absolutely the most pitiful excuse for a "Gun" show ever. One building! Few vendors. Fewer yet guns for sale.
Never again will I go to a Mcmann show. Save your money. Wait for "Crossroads of the West show.

Come on friend we been saying this for months now! Chill and wait for cross roads next month. Not that the california gun show circuit is good, it is better then road runner.
Did you buy some jerky at least?

whlgun 11-01-2014 10:13 PM

Cross roads is a hole lot better.

Well, it was my first Saturday off since February. I Was pretty excited to have a Saturday off that actually coincided with a local Gun show.
Some times life (and gun shows) just sucks!

Sabesimpson 11-03-2014 9:24 AM

True that!

rightcue805 11-07-2014 9:50 PM

i didn't even know they had a show

Trainman 11-08-2014 12:11 PM

Just went to Crossroads. Waste of time. $50 for 500 22lr. Everything was 25% above retail. Can't wait for these vendors to fade away. I will say, there was some nice candels and cat toys.

Up north?

For those that go to the gun show tommorw can you guys see the prices for 10 round ak mags and so what's the average price for 762x39 ammo in brass .. still debating on going or just sticking with online buys

Rivet 12-20-2014 4:37 PM

Norinco 10rd's $20.

I'm all for supporting the cause but prices were pretty high. You would think the vendors are aware that there is a surplus of parts on the market but some did not get the memo.

Sabesimpson 12-20-2014 6:55 PM

I went also, prices still crazy 80% for $135and up crazy. 500 Rds .22lr $75 and up. Complete no name uppers $500-$900 and not to mention "the big one" only had two buildings, and only 2 "new" gun dealers that I recall. Islandview and the new one in Camarillo knights tactical. This show is getting sorry. An I was told by a creditable source that roadrunner will not be back anymore so this is all we got.

I was there sat and as others have stated most prices were way too high. 22LR was as low as $58 for a 500 rd brick, and no one was buying. The good news on that however, was the 2 flippers that were there were not moving much of their 22LR at that price. I did manage to get PMC .223 at .33/rd and could have done a bit better if I wanted to wait in a long line. On a positive note, if you wanted your glasses cleaned, there were 3 different people offering to clean them for free!!!! That alone makes the cost of parking and admission worthwhile.

I saw at least 1 eyeglass cleaner booth I knew there was others. Also the massage toy booth and 2 pillow vendors. I pretty much don't acknowledge their existance. I dislike when they try to shill and hawk their junk to me. Like I come to shows to buy that crap. Shoeshine product man has been coming to shows for years too.

edgerly779 12-21-2014 11:34 AM

I left a psa complete upper at friends table up there for $325 only has couple hundred rounds thru it.All the other uppers at show were $450 and up. My buddy says sales have sucked for a long time.
