All politics is local
This is my post to Calguns 2nd amendment forum
[QUOTE=ai6pg;14731814]A reminder and a suggestion on getting our rights back.
Remember all politics is local.
I suggest that you approach the problem as a local constituent.
The key elements are:
The legislator, lawmaker, law enforcer took an oath of office.
People with character honor their oath, people without don't.
The oath covers the bill of rights which includes the right to keep and bear arms.
I suggest, writing the local newspaper in your community questioning the character of the oathtaker in question.
I suggest that one also write the oathtaker expressing admiration of their fine work, but dismay on their apparent lack of character in not honoring their oath of office.
I suggest that you also mention that the right to carry weapons is needed to protect yourself and family, or to purchase consumables e.g. ammo, powder, bullets, brass, etc. in order to do so.
You may wish to mention immediate legislation that may be before the oathtaker and the opportunity to show their character by following their oath.
Possibly mention that law abiding citizens are greatly in the majority and that criminals don't follow laws.
A general set of suggestions.
Pax et bonum.
